ESP Separator Internals

Based on well established, industry standard design concepts, our range of ESP Separator Internals have developed unique mechanical enhancements to ensure effective and reliable performance.

Rigorous separation efficiency and capacity modelling takes full account of both equipment geometry, as well as system physical properties, to further enhance their performance.

ESP Mesh Mist Eliminators

Mesh Mist Eliminator

Our ESP range of high efficiency knitted mesh pads covers applications including dirty, ultra high efficiency, fine mist (coalescer), and corrosive duty service.

All are offered with top and bottom grids and fixing hardware. Pad thickness offered for general purpose applications would be our standard 100mm and, where higher efficiency or fouling applications are required, 150mm.

ESP Packing Support Plates

The ESP range of packing support grids have a more open grid structure and are compatible with the layer design of structured packing. Multiple beam designs are available for random rings.

ESP - FGSP is a flat grid design ideally suited for a full range of column diameters and load capacities up to 2000kg/m2 forstandard gauge stainless steel construction.

For diameters less than 1200mm
For diameters greater than 1200mm

The ESP range of random packing suport plates have been developed to suport beds of random packing without creating any capacity restrictions in the column whilst at the same time providing sufficient stregnth to support a packed bed under normal operating conditions. Key benefits of the complete ESP range of packing support plates are listed below.

The ESP range of suport systems for random packing incorporate the following design features:

  • Gas injection design for maximum capacity
  • Perforated beam design for optimum strength
  • Standard perforation suitable for a wide range of random packing
  • Modular construction for simple installation through vessel manways
  • Suitable for manufacture in a wide range of materials

For diameters greater than 1200mm

ESP Liquid Distributors

Liquid Distributor

ESP High Efficiency Liquid Distributors are designed specifically for accurate distribution in critical service applications. Metering of the liquid is by orifices punched in the trough sidewalls, above the level of the trough bottoms, allowing solids to settle out on the floor of the trough. This makes the designs particularly suitable for use in low to moderate fouling services.

Drip-guides, fitted to the exterior of the troughs and extending to within 25mm of the top of the packed bed, effectively eliminate liquid maldistribution and entrainment induced by the effects of vapour flow.

The ESP ensures high quality liquid distribution (Standard Deviation below 5%) through drip points arranged on a standard 100mm square pitch (100 distribution points per square meter) across the complete tower cross-section.

Additional drip point locations may be included, where necessary, to ensure the same drip point density is maintained in the outer peripheral area.

Higher drip point densities can be achieved for specific applications.

ESP Liquid Distributors are manufactured on stage of the art CNC punching machines which ensures the accuracy of the orifice location and size. Every distibutor including the inlet feed system is custom engineered to ensure maximum distribution efficiency at the design liquid flow rate. Metering orifice size and trough heights are selected to ensure efficient operation over a standard turndown range of 2:1. Where required, a wider turndown range can be accomodated by using multiple levels of perforation in the drip tubes with minimum effect on distribution quality. Please enquire for more details.

Liquid-Liquid Disperser

ESP Liquid-Liquid Disperser Plates are designed to offer a dispersed phase turn down of 2:1 for operation of either light or heavy phase dispersion.

Almost any column diameter can be accommodated

Features Include:

  • Liquid metering through punched orifices on the trey deck
  • Constructed from standard segmented sections with integral trusses to fit column access manways
  • Supported on annular ring welded to vessel wall with additional support beams required for diameters greater than 2000mm
  • Drip points on a 50mm pitch (400 drip points per m2) Continuous phase flow accommodated by 100NB pipe risers
  • For light phase dispersed operation the ESP LLDP also functions as a packing support plate.
